HSBC Germany appoints Alexandra Schmidt-Mintgen as COO

HSBC Germany appoints Alexandra Schmidt-Mintgen as Chief Operating Officer (COO) as of 1 January 2023. She succeeds Thomas Runge, who will leave the bank at the end of the year at his own request.

As COO Schmidt-Mintgen will be a member of the Executive Committee of HSBC Germany and will report to Andreas Kamp, Chief Financial Officer. Her functional reporting line will be to Olfert de Wit, COO HSBC Continental Europe.

Schmidt-Mintgen has been COO for HSBC Luxembourg since July 2021. Before that, she held several positions at HSBC Germany. In Düsseldorf she was, among other positions, Chief Administration Officer, Head of Change & Process Improvement Program and Head of Outsourcing Management at GBM-Operations. In Krakow she was Center Director for the Global Service Center.
