Your recruitment journey with HSBC

Exploring your next career move at HSBC should be clear, smooth, and empowering. Here are some practical ways to get the best value from the tools available. Use the search fields to look for your next role based on specific criteria such as job family, location, keywords etc. If you don’t find the right opportunity straight away, you can also set up a job search agent (Suchagent). We’ll notify you as soon as a new vacancy is posted.

After you’ve chosen the opportunity that feels right, here’s how to take the first step:

  1. Take a moment to refresh your CV so it matches your latest experience and strengths.
  2. Review the job requirements and confirm you meet the essential criteria prior to submitting.
  3. Open the job posting, select “Apply”, answer all required questions, upload your CV, then click “Submit” to finish.
  4. You’ll get an email acknowledgement once your application is successfully submitted.

Following submission, your application will be reviewed by our Talent Acquisition team. If your background aligns with the role, the hiring manager will then take a closer look. Successful candidates will be invited to a first interview. Please note: given the number of applications we receive, we may not be able to provide individual feedback to candidates who are not progressed to screening or interview.

Interviews help both sides assess fit: we get to know you, and you get to know us. If you move forward in the process, the next steps will depend on the role you’ve applied for.

Most interview processes include 2-4 conversations with potential teammates and colleagues from across the business, typically up to one hour each. Interviews may take place by phone, online, or in person. Come ready to highlight your suitability by providing role-related examples, outlining your approach to the main responsibilities and challenges, and explaining how your strengths would add value in this position.
